Loose rugby badly against the cream of Basque players. OK some of them were our age, but .... Tour virgin Jack Hiscock scores last minute consolation try and we never hear the end of it...

Highlights

Royally entertained by OPLA club both after the game and in the evening at the cider factory. The best spanish omlette, salt cod and steak that I have ever had bar none. Superb. Also Playa de la Constitucion (excuse spelling), bars, the setting, bars, walk up the hill, more bars, statues on the front etc.

Top city.

Marks 9.5/10 - would have been 10 except for Frank and the passport and..... Lockey leaves jacket at hotel necessitating a quick 100 km taxi from Biarritz to SS and back, just in time for the flight. Just for a jacket? Yes, but his car was parked at Stansted and his keys were in his jacket. Oops.
